Who is VZV GROUP?

VZV GROUP is a leading Czech company specialising in the hire of materials handling equipment – including forklift trucks (abbreviated VZV in Czech), telehandlers, rough-terrain forklifts and aerial work platforms – for industrial operations, logistics and construction throughout the Czech Republic.

The client's challenge
As a fast-growing materials handling equipment hire company, VZV GROUP needed to:

• Gain an overview of the movements of equipment on hire at customers' sites and in its own fleet
• Streamline the allocation of forklifts and machines to jobs and their scheduling
• Minimise logistics losses and improper use of equipment
• Speed up service call-outs and machine maintenance based on real operating data
   

The solution
Based on VZV GROUP's requirements, we implemented a GPS tracking and fleet management solution that provides:

• Online location tracking of every machine in real time
• A detailed history of operation and routes, which makes it easier to plan further use of the equipment
• Reports on the use and workload of individual forklifts, which help optimise capacity.
• An overview of service intervals and maintenance based on actual operating data
   

The future with VZV GROUP
VZV GROUP has long followed trends in sustainability and in reducing the environmental footprint of its operations. As part of its strategy, it plans to gradually expand its fleet with electric forklift trucks, which bring lower emissions, quieter operation and a smaller environmental impact – especially in indoor and urban operations.
VZV GROUP is also preparing for this step in cooperation with us. The new electric forklift trucks will be fitted with modern GPS trackers designed specifically for high-voltage systems and fully compatible with the machines' electric drive.
